Andrew Atchison is an artist based in Melbourne/Naarm who works across multiple art- forms and has ongoing critical interests in queer identity formation, language, public art, and the aesthetics of withholding.
Atchison has exhibited extensively in institutions across Australia with exhibitions at LON Gallery, Gertrude Glasshouse and Gertrude Contemporary, Incinerator Gallery, State Library of Victoria and Firstdraft. In addition to his practice as a visual artist, Atchison is also a curator and writer, facilitating curatorial projects at Sutton Gallery Project Space and MADA Gallery and authoring texts for various museum projects, exhibition catalogues and visual art magazines. Andrew Atchison holds a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours) from Monash University, a Graduate Diploma in Education from the Australian Catholic University (ACU), Master of Fine Arts, from MADA, Monash University.
