Adam John Cullen is a visual artist who predominantly works with sculpture, making vessels, objects and installation outcomes that resemble and incorporate fragmented ruins or remnants of domestic life. These works serve as a form of biographical excavation, interpreting personal and collective histories that reference people, places and events.

Cullen has exhibited in major institutions across Australia and internationally, including Melbourne Now at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV), Primavera at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) in Sydney, Gertrude Contemporary Glasshouse, Shepparton Art Museum, Yellow Brick Studios in Athens, Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts in Taiwan. His work is held in various public and private collections including Australian National University (ANU), Drill Hall Gallery Collection, Shepparton Art Museum Collection and Deakin University Art Collection.
