Sarah CrowEST announced as the winner of the Juncture Art Prize

We are thrilled to announce that Sarah CrowEST is the recipient of the $20,000 JUNCTURE Art Prize, presented by Linden New Art.
‘Selected from over 120 submissions by mid-career artists across Australia, CrowEST impressed the judging panel with her bold and thought-provoking proposal. CrowEST will receive $20,000 to support the development of a major new body of work, culminating in an exhibition at Linden New Art in August 2026.
Sarah crowEST will examine the materiality and expanded potential of language, occupying the intersection of poetry, signage, lyrics, absurd didacticism, and diagrammatic scores. This ambitious project will experiment with materials such as woollen blankets and felting fibres, and techniques including digital embroidery, graphic transfers, and archival printing. The work will push the boundaries of text-based art, inviting viewers to consider the shifting roles and forms of language in visual culture.’
LON Gallery would like to thank the judges, Melissa Keys (Senior Curator, Heide Museum of Modern Art), Anthony Fitzpatrick (Curator and Writer) & Hamish Sawyer (Curator, Linden New Art).
JUNCTURE Art Prize has been assisted by the Australian Government through Creative Australia, its principal arts investment and advisory body.
